If you want to polish your pronunciation, It's not /dj/ or /tch/ for DE or TE. It's subtle. It's a very smooth /t/ and /d/. Something between /ts/ or /tch/. You can say TCH or DJ as a simplification, but it sounds more aggressive than how we say them.

I love how he was displeased with having to learn 3 genders. But little does he know: In the three genders there are at least 4 different types of words. So yes the word is feminine but is it of type Woman/Rose/Bone or Song I won't even talk about masculine bcs there are like 7 types :D There are aleso 7 gramatical cases. And depeding on all of these the word changes but it can also change the verb and adjectives connected to it :D I love and hate this language at the same time :D

As a native Hungarian, let me add something. Hungarian takes so long to learn because of how the words are made. They're actually all simple and logical, but you have to understand the ethymology behind them. I'll give you a quick example: "repülőtér" and "repülőgép" might sound similar if you don't understand the meaning of them. Airplane (repülőgép) is often shortened into simply "repülő" in the everydays, even tho the "repülő" part just means flying, as an adjective, and the "gép" part means machine. Now "tér" is a field (also used for square, as in infrastructure) - and now you understand how it works. Most Hungarian words are just multiple smaller words (or parts of words) attached to eachother. Particles work the exact same way, just like in Turkish, Finnish or Korean. The entire language is based on agglutination, and sometimes adding letters for easier/cleaner pronounciation, or ethymological reasons.

There are some declinations in latin that in fact they were just irregular, for example the declination of the word "sea" (mare, maris) was completely irregular amongst all the "3rd declinations." in latin. Specially they show an irregular accusative and ablative.
